This is the last time that I will tell you about the contest over at bloggingtips.com, to win a mascot at bloggingtips.com. I’m sure you’ll be glad that I stop posting about the same thing over and over, and I’ll be happy that I won.

Think I'm Cute? Buy Me a Biscuit
My Dad has been so obsessed with the win a mascot at BloggingTips.com contest, that he has hogged the computer all day and all night, not allowing me to blog. Fortunately I am smarter than most humans, and I found a way to get to the computer and turn it on while he is still sleeping. Ha, Ha.
Things have been a little crazy around here since we decided to move. There are boxes everywhere you look, and the carport is a disaster area. On a positive note, the hummingbirds that have taken up residence in the carport have grown very quickly, and one of the babies was flying around yesterday. Mom and Dad have some pictures, and once I get copies sent to me I’ll be sure to post them. Until then…

I apologize for not blogging for a few days, but keep in mind that I am probably a lot older than you, and it is hard enough for me to remember to go outside to pee. But, unlike peeing, I don’t get the urge to blog every day. On the other hand, when I do blog, the ideas flow freely, like pee. Though sometimes not as warm. Those are the days that I prefer to stay in my puppy bed.
The other day, I went with my people to the doggy park, and I had a great time. For me, a great time means being left alone and not being bothered by the other dogs, and not getting knocked over by anybody. On this day, I had a great time. I just wandered around in the grass and sniffed things. My sister Emma checked on me once in a while, but otherwise I was free to do as I pleased. Good times.

My people have been talking about moving to another house. The other day, the buyer of our house showed up with a bunch of inspection people. They were searching for bugs or other things that might be wrong with our house. They didn’t find anything but I wish they had said something about Bassetts not being allowed. Just kidding. Emma Lou is really nice to me and very gentle. She knows I’m old.
Anyway, my people are looking for a new house to rent in the Prescott or Prescott Valley AZ area. They want us to have a fenced yard so we can run and play and not get hurt. They need at least 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, since Jessica spends lots of time in the bathroom. And it has to be affordable, so less than $1200 per month. It should have a/c and all appliances, with an owner that is reliable and pet friendly. My sisters and I do not destroy things or pee in the house, so that is not an issue. We love our doggy door in the sliding glass door.
If you know of anyone who has a nice home for rent, or a rent to own, or lease option in the Prescott AZ area, please let my owners know. And I thank you in advance.

I can’t believe it! I actually found someone, a Beagle no less, who is older than I am. This Beagle’s name is Bucket, and they are 18 dog years old. That makes them, let’s see… about 126 people years old. WOW! Bucket Beagle has a video that you can watch if you want to. You can see it in my guestbook or on youtube. Bucket Beagle still has some spunk. But that’s what being a Beagle is all about.
Here is a video of Lady the Beagle chewing bubble gum. They say eating gum takes seven years off your life. Not a big deal to a dog, that’s only one people year for us.

Today I went with my people and Emma to the doggy park. It was really fun, except for the part where Dad has to pick me up and put me in the car. I’m old but I’m not helpless. They think they have to take it easy on me. Nonsense! I am a strong independent Beagle. Hear me bark!
Okay , so I’m not as tough as I used to be, but I can still get around. I took my time and wandered all over, sniffing everything there was to sniff. I really hurt afterwards, but it was worth every minute of the time I spent outdoors, with no leash on, and walking around by myself. The big dogs that were there were very nice to me and very gentle too. I didn’t get knocked over once. I can’t say the same for Mom, ’cause she got knocked over by one of the big dogs the other day. She laughed about it, but I could tell it hurt.
Emma goes to the park just about every day. She comes back and tells me about all the dogs she chased, and who was there when she went. I really like going but it hurts too much to go every day. I still like being at home on my puppy bed, dreaming about all the bunnies I am chasing.
