I don’t know if you noticed, but I added a little amazon.com thing in my sidebar. The ad is for a book called “Training your Beagle”. This is a very funny thing, since you cannot actually train a Beagle. The best you can hope for is one that sorta kinda behaves and doesn’t jump on or bite people. If you have a Beagle that actually listens to you, it is probably a mix of some sort, so be thankful. We Beagles have our own ideas of how the world should be, and we aren’t about to let some human spoil all the fun.

I am feeling much better lately, since my people got me some good pain medication. It used to be that I could hardly walk due to the pain from my arthritis. Now, I zip around the house like I used to, almost. There is still the fact that I can’t see much of anything. But my Dad is really good with me. He makes noise with his hands, or whistles, or taps the coins in his pocket, so I know where he is. He then leads me back into the house, or into the bedroom where my puppy bed is, so I can go back to sleep. My ears and nose are still good, and the body is not in such pain, and I can actually bark at the humans when they eat, again. Gotta love that!
On a side note, I have been featured in Billy’s Dog blog. His Mom had written about all the dogs in her life, and my picture was used to represent a Beagle she had known. Pretty cool. Does that mean I am a celebrity?

Hi,
I am back. I haven’t written for a while because I couldn’t find the computer. My people and I moved to a new house, and I having a very hard time finding my way around. I new the layout of the old house really well, and knew where things were. Now, with my failing eyesight, it is hard to get around.
There is a pet door, like the last house, but now there are two stairs that I have to navigate to get to the back yard, which is really tough on this old body. But I do good going up stairs, and can get back in through the pet door. My people are very patient, and help me a lot. Plus, sometimes I can see my sisters and follow them around to get places.
Some of my old friends have stopped by my blog and signed the guestbook. Thank you. And I miss you too.
